Mrs. Sarah is a native of Pagosa Springs. She is a mother of 1 son and lots of other fur and feathered children. She has 1 sister who lives in Texas and has a large family with 8 children of her own.
Mrs.Sarah has always been very active in many areas of the Archuleta County community since she was very young. She has very actively served in her church with youth and various other programs her whole life. Mrs. Sarah has been a long time member, leader, and continues to extensively volunteer with our local 4-H clubs, youth, and their programs. She also has served on and continues to serve on the Archuleta County Fair Board for the past 7 years. Sarah enjoys helping be the team mom and assistant coach to her sons local Parks and Rec city league soccer, baseball, and basketball teams, in addition to being a volunteer for the Archuleta County's Cub Scout Troop. As well as there are several other community events and organizations that Sarah volunteers for and helps with.
In addition to all of this activity Sarah runs a couple home based businesses in her free time.
Mrs. Sarah attended Pagosa Christian School K-12 and Graduated with the Archuleta County ASD High School through their GED inclusion program in 2001. When Sarah was 11 her and her family moved to Moscow, Russia, for a year to start an English speaking school over there through the School of Tomorrow's Accelerated Christian Education School program and curriculum. Sarah was very actively involved in this venture and frequently assisted her parents, sister, and other teachers by being a classroom monitor (aide). Sarah took the School of Tomorrow's Teachers Monitor (aide) training course twice once with her sister when they were preparing for their trip overseas and again in High School as an official position and classroom aide for school credit as she was too young to receive credit for the program the first time she did it when she was younger
