Lori Lucero is a 4th grade teacher that has lived in Pagosa Springs most of her life. She is a Pagosa Springs High School graduate, who graduated from Fort Lewis College in 1990. Her first teaching job was in Albuquerque, New Mexico, teaching 4th grade. After teaching there for two years, she taught both first grade and fourth grade in Dulce, N.M. She has been teaching in Archuleta County School District for twenty-one years, primarily 4th grade.
She is blessed to have a wonderful husband and three children (two sons and a daughter) as well as an incredible five year old grand-daughter. Her parents own Rocky Mountain Wildlife Park, so she is lucky to get to help out there in the summers with the animals as well as taking horseback trailrides.
She has a BA in Humanities, with elementary education certification. The thing she enjoys most about teaching is getting to know the students and being able to influence them at such a young age to be the best person they can be.
