Rebecca Tenpenny

Rebecca Tenpenny has been a visual art educator for eight years. She recently moved to Pagosa Springs from Loveland, CO with her husband and two dogs, Wayne and Hank. Rebecca taught art in Fort Collins at both the elementary and middle school levels, and is excited to return to her true passion of teaching elementary students.
Ms. Tenpenny believes that all students have the ability to be creative, problem solving, and critical thinking risk takers in the art room. She teaches students that through the arts they can learn more about themselves and the world around them. Rebecca works hard every day to make sure that students feel included, show empathy, and follow the number one rule in the art room: Be Kind.
In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys exploring all that Pagosa Springs has to offer. She is counting the minutes until Wolf Creek opens each year, but still enjoys paddle boarding and hiking in the summer.
