Drone Class Picture Tradition Continues

Thanks to the planning and effort from our extraordinary PIE (Parents Involved in Education) leader, Aubrie Limebrook, today the 8th graders started a new tradition that our 4th graders started 3 years ago! Huge thanks to Davis Parker, PSHS junior, for volunteering his drone piloting expertise for the last 4 years to get a drone shot of each class shaped into the year they will graduate from high school. Such a cool memory-making tradition. And Parker also captured a 5th grade picture since they missed their 4th grade picture last year--not this time COVID, you are not messing up our traditions!
Stay tuned, final pictures to come soon. Principals hang these in the halls of their schools remembering each exiting class. Love the collaboration of this project from dedicated parent volunteer to talented high school student to support our younger students. Go Pirates.

PSES Chooses New Curriculum K-5

Pagosa Springs Elementary School recently reviewed and 'test drove' six different curriculums. As a staff, they reviewed the data and made a collaborative decision to use Open Court Curriculum for K-2 grades and Benchmark Curriculum 3-5 grades.

The curriculum materials are available in the District office for review and can also be reviewed online.
