Ms. Ryann's Bio
My name is Ryann Briggs, and I am so excited to be teaching preschool at Pagosa Elementary this year! In May I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Minor in Psychology. While this is my first official year as a classroom teacher, I bring several years of hands-on experience from my time working in various early childhood classrooms through UNC. My fiancé and I grew up in rural northeastern Colorado, and we are so excited to now call Pagosa Springs home. We love hiking, traveling, and exploring the outdoors, which makes this community the perfect place for us. In the classroom, I am passionate about creating a warm, welcoming environment where every child feels supported, encouraged, and inspired to learn. I believe children learn best through play and hands-on activities. My teaching philosophy centers around student-driven exploration that fosters curiosity and a lifelong love of learning. Every child deserves a cheerleader in their corner, and I strive to be that person for my students each day!
