Ms. Stevens Bio
Ms. Stevens is excited to join Pagosa Springs Elementary for her first year as a 2nd grade teacher. She brings 15 years of experience in education, having served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and principal in Center Consolidated Schools and Cañon City Schools.
A proud Pagosa Springs native, Ms. Stevens attended Pagosa Springs Elementary from Kindergarten through 6th grade. She earned her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies (2010) and her M.A. in Education Leadership with Principal Licensure (2016), both from Adams State. She has also received specialized training in LETRS, Lindamood Bell Learning Processes, and Kagan Cooperative Learning.
Her teaching philosophy centers on creating a safe, supportive, and student-focused classroom where every child can grow and succeed. She believes all students can learn with the right supports and encouragement.
Outside the classroom, Ms. Stevens enjoys spending time with her family playing games, sharing meals, and fishing. She also loves spoiling her two pugs, Ollie and Olivia.
