Melissa Thornton-4th Grade Teacher
Hello! I am Melissa Thornton, my family and I recently moved to Pagosa from Dripping Springs, TX. I’m really excited to begin my 18th year of teaching in Pagosa Springs. My happy place!! My husband, Lance, is teaching Special Education at the High School and my son, Carter, is a freshman this year. I love being outdoors and exploring new places! (One of the reasons we moved to Pagosa.) My family loves mountain biking, hiking, and camping with our Vizsla fur baby, Addy. Cooking and designing (anything) are a couple of my personal favorites!
I earned my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with an additional endorsement in Reading from Texas State University. My Masters in Educational Administration was completed at Concordia University.
